Band Coaching — Take Your Band to the Next Level

Great bands aren't just great players — they're tight, dynamic and confident on stage. I work with your band in your rehearsal space to sharpen your sound and get you show-ready. Two-hour sessions, $210.

What we'll work on: tightness, timing and dynamics as a group · arrangements that make your songs hit harder · setlist building and transitions · live performance and stage confidence · preparing for gigs and recordings.

Who Band Coaching is for

Band coaching works for any group that plays together regularly and wants to sound sharper — school bands, garage projects, covers bands and originals acts alike. I work with teenagers gearing up for their first gig and with adult bands who’ve been playing for years but feel stuck at the same level. You don’t need to be advanced players; you need to be a band that’s willing to listen to each other. If you’re already rehearsing and something isn’t clicking, that’s exactly what these sessions are built to fix.

What a Session Looks Like

Sessions run two hours in your own rehearsal space, so we work with the gear, room and setup you actually play in. I sit in on a run-through first and listen to how the band functions as a unit — where the timing drifts, who’s covering for whom, which parts are fighting each other. From there we work hands-on: rebuilding sections, adjusting arrangements, and running them until the change sticks. You leave with specific things to practise before the next rehearsal. Sessions are $210 for the full two hours, for the whole band.

What We Work on

Most bands come to me with the same core issues, and they’re all fixable. We tighten timing and lock the rhythm section together so the groove sits properly. We work on dynamics — the difference between a band that plays loud and a band that knows when to pull back, which is what makes choruses land. We rework arrangements so songs build instead of sitting flat, and we sort out transitions and setlist order so a live show flows from start to finish. Then there’s the performance side: stage presence, confidence, and handling the moments when something goes wrong mid-set. If you’re heading into the studio, we’ll also get the material tight enough to record efficiently.

Ready to Book?

Band coaching is $210 for a two-hour session in your rehearsal studio — see the Pricing page for full details and lesson packs. If individual members want to work on their own playing between sessions, I also teach guitar, bass, drums and singing one-on-one, plus music production and songwriting for bands recording their own material.
