Music Production & Songwriting Lessons on Sydney’s Northern Beaches

Have songs in your head? Let’s get them out into the world. Learn to write, arrange, record and mix your own music using professional software and the same techniques I use in my own productions — and your first 45-minute session is free.

What you’ll learn: songwriting — melody, chords, lyrics and structure · recording vocals and instruments · arranging and building a full track · mixing fundamentals: EQ, compression, effects · releasing your music.

Who These Lessons are for

Whether you’ve got a laptop and zero experience or you’re already recording your own demos and want to take them further, I tailor every lesson to where you’re at. I teach teens and adults, from 13 up, and lessons work whether you’re writing songs, producing beats, or learning to record and mix your own music. You don’t need any prior software or theory knowledge to start.

What a Lesson Looks Like

Music production and songwriting lessons run one-on-one, either in my teaching studio in Dee Why or online over video call. Each session builds on the last: we work through songwriting, recording, arranging or mixing, using the same software and techniques I use in my own productions. Your first 45-minute lesson is completely free, no obligation.

We work on the same setup I use for my own music: Ableton Live, a Focusrite 16i16, KRK Rokit 5 monitors, a condenser mic, MIDI controller, and a rack of guitars, amps, pedals and percussion to play straight into your tracks.

Production & Songwriting Skills I Teach

We cover songwriting fundamentals, melody, chords, lyrics and structure, alongside recording vocals and instruments, arranging a full track and mixing basics like EQ, compression and effects. New students usually start with getting their ideas down and finished, before moving into more advanced production and mixing techniques. If you already produce or write, we’ll find what’s holding your tracks back and go straight there.
