Who These Lessons are for
Whether you’ve never held a guitar before, you’re self-taught and want to fix bad habits, or you’re an intermediate player ready to push into new styles, I tailor every lesson to where you’re actually at. I teach teens and adults, from 13 up, and lessons work equally well on acoustic, electric or classical guitar, depending on what you want to play.
What a Lesson Looks Like
Lessons run one-on-one, either in my teaching studio in Dee Why or online over video call — both formats get the same structured, hands-on attention. Each session builds on the last: we set clear goals, work through technique and repertoire together, and I give you focused practice to take away so you keep progressing between lessons, not just showing up. The studio’s set up for it: professional amps, a rack of high-end guitars, pedals, and a full recording chain — condenser mic, Focusrite 16i16, KRK Rokit 5 monitors and Ableton Live — so we can record what you’re working on any time it helps.
Guitar Styles I Teach
I cover acoustic, electric and classical guitar, and shape lessons around the music you actually want to play — rock, blues, folk, pop, fingerstyle or classical repertoire. New students usually start with the fundamentals: chords, strumming patterns and basic fingerpicking, before moving into reading music, tabs, playing by ear, improvisation and soloing. If you already play, we’ll figure out where the gaps are and go straight to what will move you forward fastest.
